Jarryd Hayne has berated a footy fan in an extraordinary outburst, telling him to ‘grow the f**k up’.
Hayne tweeted his support for Billy Slater after the Melbourne Storm star escaped suspension for a shoulder charge tackle at an NRL judiciary hearing.
‘Good to see Billy Slater will play. At the end of the day it’s a Grand Final,’ Hayne tweeted.
His post was retweeted by father-of-three Paul Horsfall, mocking Hayne’s code-hopping from NRL to American football, and his attempt to play for the Fijian rugby sevens team at the Rio Olympics.
‘Its always been a dream of mine to be on the judiciary panel,’ the fan posted, referencing a long-standing joke poking fun at Hayne’s other ‘dreams’.
Hayne did not see the funny side.
‘My next dream would be for w**kers like you to grow (the f**k) up. And to think you got three kids that one day will dare to dream makes your tweet even more pathetic,’ Hayne tweeted.

Some footy followers reacted angrily to Hayne’s outburst, calling him a ‘grub’ for mentioning the fan’s children.
‘I’ve always dreamed of never bringing another man’s family into an argument,’ one fan posted.
‘The fact that you need to swear, call someone names and bring their kids into it makes you the most pathetic of them all,’ another fan posted to Hayne.
‘Maybe instead of calling everything a dream when you change your goals you wouldn’t get mocked as much.’

Others were more supportive of the former San Francisco 49ers and Gold Coast Titans star.
‘Don’t worry Jarryd, you have achieved more than 99 per cent of people in your life. This country is the absolute gold standard for bagging our champions,’ a fan said.
‘Most of these haters haven’t tied a lace in their lives.’
