Jason Alexander shows his support for Julia Louis-Dreyfus

They have been friends for over three decades, after starring on the 90s sitcom Seinfeld.

And on Thursday, Jason Alexander, 58, is added to the long list of supporters who have reached out to Julia Louis-Dreyfus, 56, after she announced on her social media accounts that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Jason replied to his beloved friends tweet with some supporting words: ‘So sorry you have to go thru this, pal, but I know you will prevail. We are here if/when you need and we love you.’

Julia revealed her diagnosis in a personal note to the public, just one day after her record-setting Emmy win.

The Veep star wrote: ‘1 in 8 women get breast cancer. Today, I’m the one.’

‘The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring family, and friends, and fantastic insurance through my union.

‘The bad news is that not all women are so lucky, so let’s fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality.’

The actress’ rep told US Weekly: ‘Julia is incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support and well wishes.’

Earlier this month, the Veep star won her sixth consecutive Emmy.

She set the record for most wins for a performance in the same role for the same series with that win.

Julia and husband Brad Hall have two children: Henry, 25, and Charlie, 20.

There are no further details of Julia’s stage of breast cancer or treatments.

But many people such as Veep creator Armando Lannucci, Anna Kendrick, Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden took to social media to send their caring messages.
