Jason Momoa’s character Arthur reluctantly takes the role of King in final Aquaman trailer

The action packed film is set to splash into theaters on December 21. 

And on Monday, the final trailer dropped for the film Aquaman, which stars Jason Momoa, Nicole Kidman and Amber Heard.

The clip follows Jason’s character Arthur Curry, who is half-Atlantean and half-human, as he was partakes in arduous training in both combat and swimming from a young age in anticipation of ruling the Kingdom of Atlantis as Aquaman.

‘Legend has it that a new King will come who will use the power of the trident to put Atlantis back together,’ Arthur’s mom, played by Nicole Kidman, says at the start of the trailer.

Her character, Atlanna – the Queen Of Atlantis, is seen cradling her infant son and planting a kiss on his head before time passes and a toddler Arthur is pictured.

‘This is zigzag spot is where Vulko gave me my first swimming lesson,’ he told the flamed haired Mera.

‘Not even close,’ Vulko quips, before the duo jump off the cliff and dive into the ocean below.

As Arthur shoots through the water, Vulko is heard saying: ‘You have to forget all the teachings of the surface world, go deeper to uncover your Atlantean instincts.’
