Jesse Lingard and his model girlfriend Jena Frumes cosied up for a picture on Tuesday before the Manchester United star flew to Seville for Champions League action.

Lingard is in Jose Mourinho’s squad for Wednesday night’s round of 16 first leg at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan but made time for his partner before departing for Spain. 

Frumes shared the image of the loved-up couple on her Instagram account, posting the snap with the caption ‘solid’.

Lingard and his American girlfriend enjoyed a spot of lunch at Victor’s in Hale on  Monday as the pair unwound together during a rare break for the United winger.

He trained with his United team-mates before they jetted off to Spain on Tuesday afternoon.

Frumes and Lingard met in the United States over a year ago but have only fairly recently started dating.

Lingard has enjoyed a relatively easy week so far after coming on for just the last nine minutes of United’s 2-0 FA Cup victory over Huddersfield on Saturday evening.

United are the last British side to play their first leg in the last-16 and they will have seen Liverpool and Manchester City record thumping away wins to all but guarantee a place in the quarter-finals.

Jurgen Klopp’s side hit Porto for five while City put Basle to the sword and left Switzerland comfortable 4-0 winners.

And with United last winning the Champions League trophy in 2008 – and Mourinho with Inter Milan in 2010 – the Red Devils will be eyeing a strong run to the latter stages of this year’s tournament.
