JetBlue officials have said that a small flock of birds struck the left engine, and because of adverse weather in Boston they could not make a safe landing there, according to ABC 7.

There are 144 passengers on board the plane, which is an Airbus 320.

The plane is currently flying at a low altitude of roughly 3,700 feet and at 200mph. It has not yet landed in New York.
