Jetstar launches free return flights

For most people, travelling overseas relies not only on a great deal of planning but also a hefty amount of saving up.

But those looking to head abroad next year could be in luck, with Jetstar unleashing a plethora of flights at unbelievably affordable prices. 

The company is running a special ‘Return For Free’ offer, where passengers pay one fare for an entire round trip.

Domestic and international flights are available, with return fares to overseas holiday destinations starting at just $150.

Flyers setting off from all Australian capital cities have the opportunity to get their hands on an incredible deal, but Jetstar warns there is only limited availability. 

Travel dates must also fall within the company’s pre-selected availability and keen jet-setters must make their bookings before midnight on Saturday. 

Among the flights offering a free return journey are a range of bargains heading out of Sydney, including to Bali for $239, Christchurch for $159, and Ho Chi Minh City for $249.

Those looking to fly domestically can spend even less, with a return flight to Melbourne costing just $49, the Gold Coast only $65, and a thrifty $189 to Perth.

Discount flights to popular tropical destination Bali can be picked up from $129 out of Darwin, $149 out of Perth, and $139 from Townsville. 

Flying out of Melbourne has become enticingly inexpensive too, with passengers having access to return flights to Singapore for less than $200, less than $230 for Bangkok, and under $250 for Phuket.

Gold Coast residents can get to and from New Zealand’s capital city Auckland for just $169, and all the way to Tokyo and back for $319.

A tropical getaway on home soil could set Melbourne flyers back just $145 to visit Whitsunday Coast, and a tiny $95 for a return trip to Ballina Byron.

Dual-direction commutes between Adelaide and Melbourne, and Sydney and Melbourne, can be snapped up for $49 – less than $25 each way.  

Heading in both directions between Melbourne and Hobart, round trip fares are only $65, as are flights from the Gold Coast to Sydney.
