Joe Wicks has been ‘blowing out’ on fast food

He’s earned a legion of fans – and millions in the bank – with his popular eating plans and workout videos.

But The Body Coach Joe Wicks has revealed that he has ‘completely lost [his] motivation’ – and can’t stop eating chocolate.

The 31-year-old, originally from Epsom, Surrey, said he has been ‘blowing out’ on fast food while in America for the past month, while barely doing any exercise.

Speaking in a candid video on Facebook, he admitted that he has been ‘lazy’, despite building his brand on his obsession with fitness and healthy eating.

Holding up two giant bars of chocolate, Joe, who revealed last year that he earned £1million a month, told his 2.7million followers: ‘I want to talk to you about how I’ve completely lost my motivation and can’t stop eating this stuff.’

He described how his mother had brought him a haul of sugary treats from the UK that aren’t available in the US while paying him a visit.

‘Since that day, I’ve been having a right blow out,’ he explained. ‘Obviously I’m in America and there’s loads of fast food. I’ve kind of lost my way.

‘I basically need to get back in the game mentally. I’ve just been lazy. I can’t be bothered to exercise.’

Speaking about how he’s let his usually healthy diet fall by the wayside, he said: ‘When there’s a burger on the menu I’m getting it, when there’s dessert I’m getting it.

‘I’m having ice creams every day, I’m drinking loads of fizzy drinks.’

Explaining how it’s ‘all or nothing’ for him, he added: ‘Ultimately what this does to me is make me crave it. I can go weeks and months without sugar, but the minute I start eating it I crave it.’

The fitness guru added: ‘Without being too graphic, my tummy is really sore every day when I’m eating food like this.

Joe, who is known for his Lean In 15 series, explained that he wanted to be honest with fans about what was going on behind the scenes as ‘a lot of people’ struggle to keep motivated after summer.

However, he said that he is already starting to get back on track following his lapse this month.

‘Today I got up, I got straight to the beach, done a little workout. I feel so much better,’ he said.

‘I’ve told myself I’m just going to drink water, I’m not going to drink all the fizzy drinks I’ve been drinking. I’m not going to eat chocolate.

‘I’m going to have three meals at home, I’m going to batch cook a little bit. If I do eat out, I’m going to be more sensible. There’s always a healthy option on the menu.’

The video has already been watched nearly 950,000 times, with fans praising him for his honesty.

One fan wrote: ‘Hugely refreshing, honest post Joe! Much appreciated, it’s good to see it happens to us’.

Another added: ‘This is literally me right now!! So the timing of this video couldn’t have been any better. You’ve motivated me to make that switch and tomorrow I change it back!!!’
