American Idol: Katy Perry reveals she met fiancé Orlando Bloom when he ‘swooped in’ on her In-N-Out Burger at the 2016 Golden Globes
The 17th season of American Idol premiered on Sunday night with a personal revelation from singer and judge, Katy Perry.
During one segment, the 33-year old star beamed with joy when she found out one of the contestants worked at a local In-N-Out Burger in Las Vegas.
Turns out, the pop superstar and fiance Orlando Bloom will forever be in debt to the popular burger joint.

‘I met my boyfriend over In-N-Out,’ she confessed.
‘We were at the Golden Globes and we weren’t together,’ Perry added.
‘So I had my security guard grab 10 In-N-Outs and all of a sudden I see my boyfriend’s hand — he wasn’t even sitting at our table — he just swoops in and he grabs it and I was like, hey that’s my burger!’
Fellow judge Luke Bryan chimed in: ‘And you were like, oh, you’re on the other end of that hand,’ to which Perry responded, ‘Yeah I did.’

The pop superstar and the Pirates Of The Caribbean actor started dating after that night of 2016 Golden Globes.
After a breakup in the early months of 2017, the couple reunited and got engaged on Valentine’s Day this year.
The Pirates Of The Caribbean star popped the big question during helicopter ride that Katy later called a very James Bond move.

‘We landed on a rooftop [in Los Angeles] and my whole family was there, and all my friends. He did so well,’ the singer confessed.
Perry has been sporting her daisy-shaped, $5 million Neil Lane engagement ring ever since.
The cross-county audition tour will move forward with an all-new episode of American Idol on Wednesday, March 6 8/7c on ABC.
