Kendall Jenner’s much hyped big announcement has been blasted online after the model announced she is selling SPOT cream.  

Fans labelled the highly anticipated ‘raw story’ as a ‘pathetic cry for attention’ after it saw the model unveiled as the new spokesperson for ProActiv.

Her momager Kris Jenner had promised the story posted to her Twitter account on Sunday night would help her young followers. 

But fans were left scratching their heads, as the model, who is thought to have a net worth of $30 million, was unveiled as the news spokesperson for ProActiv.

And Kris Jenner was slammed over the family’s shameless self promotion in wake of sharp ratings drop for their show.

One fan wrote: ‘You’re joking me. This is the ‘big announcement’? This is a pathetic cry for attention. @KrisJenner.’

Another added: ‘Women are coming forward every day about being victims to rape, sexual assault, abuse etc and Kendall Jenner is gonna hype up and announce her problem with acne.’ 

One person called the ‘whole family just truly disgusting’, tweeting: ‘Kris Jenner should be ashamed of herself for hyping this nonsense in the manner she did! This whole family just truly disgusting! 

‘Real life issues out there like coming out or crippling disorders that keep you from leaving the house & she comes up with those ridiculous hashtags.’

The Season 15 finale of ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ on E! saw a 37 percent drop from the number of viewers for its season premiere, at just 851,000 people.   

The overall momentum for the show, which is now in its 11th year and has spurred seemingly endless spin-offs, has been on its way down.

The second to last episode of season 15 held the attention of only 941,000 viewers. 

Ahead of the reveal, Kris, 63, ramped up interest as she publicly praised her model daughter, 23, for being ‘so brave and vulnerable’.

Her comments sparked intense speculation from fans, over what Kendall could be revealing – although her role as a spokesperson was not one of the many suggestions.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star starred in the Jump In promotional film, which was accused of co-opting the Black Lives Matter campaign by some social media users.

The advertisement for the soda giant that was blasted as ‘tone deaf’ and was eventually pulled. 

Talking about her acne, Kendall was seen in a TV advert recalling how she was attacked by trolls for her bad skin, as she promoted the skincare line.

In a preview of what turned out to be Kendall’s advert, she wore a white t-shirt as she spoke candidly to the camera. 

She said: ‘When I was 14, I couldn’t reach as many people that I can now that I’m 22.

‘Now I have this whole thing behind me, I can speak to so many people and be like: ‘I can help you and it’s ok.’

‘I experience it, I’m very normal, I understand you, I can connect with you…’

She added at the end: ‘I’m going to try and help’ while ‘connect with Kendall, Jan 6’ came up on the screen.
