Kieren Jack and Charlotte Goodlet marry in surprise ceremony – after bitter and public family feud

Sydney Swans star Kieren Jack has married his long-term partner, months after his parents’ disapproval of their relationship was made public amid a bitter family rift.

Jack, 31, and Charlotte Goodlet married at Allview Escape, in the Blue Mountains, NSW, on Friday after a two-year engagement.

‘The most beautiful couple, the most perfect day, the most stunning bride!,’ retired Swan Jeremy Laidler’s wife Amber posted from the ceremony.

While it is unclear if Jack’s parents were in attendance, the pair didn’t appear in a series of photos shared by guests under the Instagram hashtag #pairofjacks.

Ms Goodlet wore a long-sleeved and low-cut Pallas Couture dress for the occasion while Jack dressed up in a classic black suit.

Jack and his family made headlines after his mother Donna took to Twitter claiming she was banned from attending his milestone 200th AFL in July 2016.

‘So sad … you 200 AFL & you don’t want us there, your parents. No appreciation for all the yrs helping you get there,’ Donna wrote in a post that was later deleted.

Reports indicated that Jack’s family disapproved of Ms Goodlet, a Channel 10 journalist, claiming she was a gold-digger and too good for the family.

Jack announced his engagement to Ms Goodlet in October 2016, despite the family feud.

Seven News sports presenter Abbey Gelmi shared a snap from the wedding with Ms Goodlet flaunting her ring.

More to come.
