Kim Kardashian’s new perfume bottle has given people around the world a strong feeling of deja vu.
The reality star, 37, took to social media on Wednesday to unveil her new fragrance bottle, which was modeled after her own body.
Her bottle is shaped like her upper body from the neck to the upper thighs, with her arms cut off and the spray top where her head would be—a design that, as many Twitter users pointed out, looks stunningly similar to Jean-Paul Gaultier’s iconic perfume bottle for his Classique fragrance.

The French designer released the scent in 1993. His bottle, which is shaped like a woman’s bust, has become as well known as the perfume it contains.
It has been redesigned several times over the years to dress the bust in various colors and styles, but the woman’s bust has always remained as the quintessential element of Jean-Paul’s bottle.
A similar concept was used for the bottle of his men’s fragrance Le Male, which is shaped like a man’s chest.
After Kim posted a video of her new perfume bottle on social media, Twitter users took to the platform to highlight the similarities between her design and Jean-Paul’s.

In addition to a video in which she unveils the bottle, Kim also posted a photo of herself naked with plaster on her body as part of the process to manufacture the container.
‘Jean-Paul Gaultier gave us this centuries ago,’ someone wrote in response to the snap.
‘Very 1993 of you… Ever [heard] of Jean-Paul Gaultier?’ another person asked Kim.
One Twitter user said Kim’s bottle is ‘Jean-Paul Gaultier reloaded’, while someone else wondered: ‘Does Kim Kardashian think she’s orignal, because the whole body mold perfume bottle is a rip-off of Jean-Paul Gaultier’s perfumes.’
‘I hope Jean-Paul Gaultier sue Kim Kardashian for the bottle design,’ another person wrote.
Someone else replied to Kim with: ‘Jean-Paul Gaultier did it better Honey.’

Kim has so far not responded to the comments pointing to the resemblance between her design and Jean-Paul’s.
She has instead focused her tweets on her husband Kanye West’s renewed Twitter presence and public support of Donald Trump.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashian Star famously wore a Jean-Paul Gaultier gown to the 2015 Grammys and posed confidently in the golden gown with a plunging neckline.
At the time, Kim said she had suffered a wardrobe malfunction earlier in the night, which involved one of her pockets falling off.
She said the garment was fixed thanks to a bit of sewing and some safety pins, and the pocket looked fine when she made it in front of the cameras.
