Labor MP’s British papers still a mystery

One of the Labor MPs facing the High Court over citizenship doubts still can’t find any paperwork showing he renounced his British dual nationality and is yet to receive any documents from the UK.

David Feeney, who says he renounced the ties in 2007 but couldn’t find proof when he looked in November, told News Corp on Thursday his legal team has been unable to retrieve any more documents from British archives.

Mr Feeney and Labor senator Katy Gallagher will face the High Court on Friday for a directions hearing over whether their citizenship status at the 2016 election would disqualify them from parliament.
