Lily James wows as she joins Amanda Seyfried at Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again premiere

It has been ten years since the film Mamma Mia! burst on to cinema screens.

And a decade later, a host of stars turned out to celebrate the premiere of the much-anticipated sequel Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again in London on Monday night.

Lily James, 29, looked every inch the leading lady in a strapless ivory gown as she headed to the Eventim Apollo with her handsome boyfriend Matt Smith, 35, while her co-star Amanda Seyfried, 32, looked chic in a tailored black suit.

Lily stunned in the voluminous dress which featured a delicate Parisian print on the full-bodied skirt, while the ribboned bodice highlighted her slender frame.

Featuring a dipped hemline, the actress, who plays a young, carefree version of Donna in the musical, showcased her toned legs and added boost to her 5ft 5ins frame with a pair of silk bridal-inspired stilettos.

Lily complemented her glamorous dress by styling her hair in an elegant half-up do and finished off the look with a soft grey smoky eye and a slick of pink lipstick.

Earlier this week, the actress revealed that her now-husband, Tom Sadoski, 42, ‘has issues’ when it comes to the whole situation about being reunited with her real-life ex Dominic Cooper.

‘I think he has the same kind of issues that I would have if we were hanging out with his ex-girlfriend from long ago,’ the 32-year-old Jennifer’s Body star told The Mirror. ‘I think it’s always like, “I’m so in love with this person, so that person must be so in love with her too”.

‘I’d guess he assumed Dominic is in love with me the way he’s in love with me. And it’s just not the case. It’s sweet. I’d rather he be jealous than completely fine with it.’

Set ten years after the original, the film follows Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) as she tries to run her mother Donna’s (Meryl Streep) villa in Greece whilst pregnant, as she finds out more about her past.

In the film, Lily plays young Donna during her infamous time with her three love interests Sam (Jeremy Irvine), Harry (Hugh Skinner), and Bill (Josh Dylan).

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again ‘goes back and forth in time to show how relationships forged in the past resonate in the present,’ according to Deadline.

The original movie was set on a Greek island where young bride-to-be Sophie discovers that any one of three men – Bill (Stellan Skarsgard), Sam (Pierce Brosnan) or Harry (Colin Firth) could be her father.
