She’s the quirky songstress who knows exactly how to capture the attention of her fans.

And it seems Lorde, real name Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O’Connor, has been vying for the limelight since childhood, with a new throwback home video showing the singer trying to out-perform her younger siblings.

The two-part video, which appeared on the Instagram page of Lorde’s mother Sonja Yelich this Monday, shows a curly-haired Lorde and younger sister Indy singing along to B.o.B’s hit song Nothin’ on You.

The sisters became competitive as the song wore on, with Lorde making sure to steal audience’s attention by dancing wildly in the background.

Singing into pepper grinder, Indy became flustered by her sister’s performance and started swatting her away from the camera with her spare hand.

Sonja dedicated the post to Indy, who celebrated her 19th birthday this week, while thanking daughter Jerry for keeping the video over the years.
