MAFS runaway bride Lauren Bran suffers miscarriage

She was dubbed Married At First Sight’s ‘runaway bride’, making headlines across the country after dumping ‘husband’ Andrew Jones on their televised wedding day.

And now, Lauren Bran is in the news again, emotionally revealing she has suffered a tragic miscarriage while eight weeks pregnant. 

The 33-year-old, who found love with her current partner Jake Barnett one week after her ’embarrassing’ stint on Channel Nine’s top-rating reality show, told news.com.au on Monday: ‘It [the miscarriage] was heartbreaking but it wasn’t meant to be’.

Of the pregnancy, Lauren stated: ‘It was one of those things that happened and we were going to go through with it… But it wasn’t healthy and I lost the baby and things weren’t right.’

She added that the experience has been ‘tough’.

Lauren is mum to son Dylan from a previous relationship, while partner Jake is also a proud parent to twin boys Charlie and Lawson.

In her interview with news.com.au, the reality star also gushed about her beau, cooing over his ‘big white veneers’ and his charisma.

The pair met in a bar just days after she filmed her disastrous appearance on Married At First Sight.

‘He thought it was tacky but he didn’t judge me,’ Lauren said of Jake’s views on her reality show cameo.

Eight months on, Lauren still regrets her appearance on the show.

‘Everywhere you went Australia judged you and it was embarrassing,’ she told new.com.au.

Putting the turbulent times behind her, the stunner is now looking forward to the new year.
