Actress Malin Akerman has tied the knot on Saturday with British actor Jeff Donnelly after a one year engagement.
The couple said ‘I do’ on a scenic beach in front of family and friends in Tulum, Mexico, which is on the Caribbean coastline.
‘They were both barefoot and the waves came up on the shore and got their feet wet throughout the ceremony,’ an insider told E! News. ‘It was a brief but beautiful ceremony. The waves were crashing and it was a perfect day.’

For the most part, guests sat and stood around the couple as the waves crashed into the shore and the water rolled under their feet.
And keeping with the relaxed theme of the ceremony, the bride looked radiant in a pink spaghetti strap slip dress that had a stylish slit on the right side to allow her to show some leg – and even gave glimpses of the star’s underwear.
She also went braless beneath the garment, which boasted a deep, plunging neckline.
She wore her blonde tresses pulled back off her face, with a pink rose in her hair and a part slightly to the right.
Equally elegant and casual, Donnelly wore navy blue pants, that were rolled up to just below his knees, with a matching vest over a dress shirt that was left unbuttoned at the top.

Once the brief but beautiful ceremony reached the climax, they sealed their love and marriage with kiss after kiss.
‘They seemed ecstatic and blissful,” the witness said. ‘They kissed over and over again.’
The emotions of the day seemed to flow like the ocean tide, as the 27 Dresses actress gallivanted across the sand, hand-in-hand, with her new husband, and at times, with her young son.

This is Akerman’s second marriage. She and Italian musician Roberto Zincone were married for six years, and had son Sebastian, before divorcing in 2013.
She got engaged to Donnelly, who is best known for his role in the BBC series Atlantis, in October 2017. The two were friends for years before they started to date in March 2017.
The couple announced they were engaged a year ago, with Malin gushing she had said yes to the ‘sweet and loving man’ on her Instagram.
Earlier this year, Malin told Live with Kelly and Ryan how she met her future husband, explaining: ‘[Jack] is actually my youngest sister’s boyfriend’s friend from drama school in England. I have known him for the past four years but didn’t see him … Then all of a sudden he came back from England like a year-and-a-half ago, and I went, “Wow, have you always been this cute?”’
The besotted star added that she knew Jack was the one after seeing him with her young son, gushing:
‘He was brilliant with my son and that was it, and my heart melted. You try to explain to a 4-and-a-half-year-old that you’re getting married and what an engagement is, and he jumped up on the couch and went, “Yay, we’re getting married!”‘
The Swedish-Canadian actress got mainstream recognition for films like The Utopian Society (2003) and Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle (2004). She had her first starring roles in feature films with The Heartbreak Kid (2007) and 27 Dresses (2008).
