Jordynn Knight, a labourer and father of two daughters, died after crashing his bike in South Australia on Monday.

Mr Knight collided with a Mitsubishi Pajero 4WD as he was driving to work on Kangarilla Road, about 40km south of Adelaide.

The devoted father became the state’s 96th road fatality and the 22nd motorcyclist to die on South Australian roads this year. There were eight in 2016.

The Mitsubishi 4WD driver wasn’t injured in the accident in which circumstances remain unclear. No charges have been laid against him.

From his parent’s home in the southern suburbs, a shattered Erica Wastell paid tribute to her beloved partner.

‘He was such a loving father. He worked so hard for us. We had just been chilling over the weekend, organizing Christmas and spending time with Sayge.’

She explained how Mr Knight got his motorbike as a recent Father’s Day present to help save time, and money, travelling to work so he could spend more time with his youngest daughter.

Ms Wastell said he was always careful on the road, even though he was passionate and enjoyed watching motorcross and professional drag racing.

She also said he recently took baby Sayge to a motorcross event, making sure she wore earmuffs and sunglasses to protect her from the noise.

His parents, Karina Harding, 40, and her husband John, 49, also mourned the loss of their son.

‘Jordynn was like life’ Mrs Harding said.

‘He worked hard but he made everyone happy. He would light up a room and everyone would take notice because he was here.

‘He was an even brighter light when Sayge was born. He was so family orientated. His life was family and work.’

‘He wrote in his Year 7 yearbook he wanted to be a concreter … he succeeded.’
