Man, 20, dies after he was stabbed in the neck while having his hair cut – as police make an arrest

  • A man was stabbed in a hair salon in Sydney’s west on Friday just before 1pm
  • Emergency crews rushed to Mimosa Rd about 12.40pm after reports of stabbing
  • The man was rushed to Liverpool hospital in a critical condition where he died 
  • NSW Police told Daily Mail Australia no charges have been laid at this time 

A man has died after he was stabbed in the neck while getting his hair cut.

The 20-year-old man died hours after he was rushed to hospital in a critical condition following the stabbing at Classico Hair Salon in Bossley Park, Sydney’s west. 

Emergency services were called about 12.40pm on Friday, with the man stumbling out onto the street and collapsing.

Shoppers and business owners in nearby shops heard screams and walked outside to see the victim on the floor.

‘I just heard somebody screaming, I walked out and I saw him stabbed on the floor,’ Shayna’s cafe owner Ninos Tooma told The Daily Telegraph. 

Witnesses reported a man on a motorcycle with L-plates had pulled up outside the salon about 12.40pm and entered the shop, before dumping the bike.     

The victim was in cardiac arrest on the pavement outside the salon when emergency services arrived at the scene.  

Shortly before 5pm on Friday, a man was arrested and taken to Fairfield Police Station. A New South Wales Police spokesman told Daily Mail Australia no charges have been laid at this time.

Police are treating the incident as targeted.
