Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola sent to the stands at half-time

Pep Guardiola was sent to the stands after his furious reaction to Leroy Sane’s disallowed goal during his team’s Champions League second leg clash with Liverpool.

With City already leading 1-0, Loris Karius came out to punch a ball out of the box but only succeeded in playing it off James Milner and into the path of Sane who was deemed offside.

Replays showed that the ball came off Milner and not the nearby Gabriel Jesus, meaning Sane’s goal should have stood.

Guardiola was visibly incensed by the decision and let the referee Antonio Miguel Mateu Lahoz know his feelings as the two teams headed for the tunnel at the break.
