Manchester City’s Danilo has opened up on his current boss Pep Guardiola and previous manager Zinedine Zidane.

The 27-year-old moved to the Etihad from Real Madrid for £27million in July 2017 after winning the Champions League in consecutive seasons under Zidane.

The full back said it had always been an ‘ambition to play for Pep Guardiola’ following his move.

And now he has praised both the City manager and his former boss at Madrid. 

‘Of course they are very different, first they are all top coaches and it’s impossible to compare the two,’ Danilo told The Mirror.

‘For me I am very happy to have had the opportunity to work with them. Pep’s attention to details is second to none, Zidane what he has achieved for himself is unbelievable so for me it’s really hard to say if this is better or not.

‘I am just as happy to be with Guardiola now as I was with working with Zidane in the past.’

Danilo has made 15 appearances for City this campaign and has scored one goal and provided one assist.

City, who top the Premier League table on goal difference, travel to Schalke on Wednesday evening for the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.
