Mansion of Barkho family centre of Carnival Cruise fight

Family members at the centre of the ‘cruise from hell’ who were allegedly kicked off for brawling with passengers live in a suburban mansion and have several luxury cars.

The four-bedroom home, complete with marble flooring and a grand entrance hall, is found in an upmarket Melbourne suburb and belongs to the Barkho family.

Police were forced to escort some members of the family from the Carnival Legend cruise ship following fights – which passengers on board described as a ‘bloodbath’ of violence lasting three days.

The house was bought in 2011 for $750,000 and has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The grand entrance hall opens out with a marble floor and staircase up to the gallery level overlooking the hallway and bedrooms.

The master suite also boasts a spa ensuite and the main bathroom has a spa bath as well.

David Barkho, the family’s patriarch, has denied any of his relatives had started or were the cause of the clashes on board.

Passengers on the ship claimed the carnage had been provoked by some members of the family who had been terrorising staff and fellow travellers over three days.

Mr Barkho added his relative’s lawyers were looking into the allegations and told Daily Mail Australia they were ‘all lies’.

Upset passenger Lisa Bolitho claimed some members of the family spent a few days insulting and attacking ‘Aussies’ with people ‘getting punched up’.

Shocking vision of brawls erupting in a common area of the cruise ship showed several passengers locked in savage fist fights.

The filmed scuffle allegedly broke out while the ship was 220km off Jervis Bay, Australia, around 1am on Friday.

One witness, named only as Zac, alleged the brawl started after two men tangled feet, leading to a bitter exchange of words between two family groups.

Six men and three teenage boys were removed from the ship when it docked in Eden in New South Wales.

Police confirmed no charges have been made.
