Meghan Markle wears dazzling diamond bracelet that looks like Cartier

She’s been sporting a gold band by Cleave & Company alongside her spectacular diamond engagement ring since her wedding on Saturday.

And on Tuesday Meghan was seen with what appeared to be another new addition to her growing jewellery collection, in the form of a sparkling diamond tennis bracelet.

The Duchess of Sussex debuted the delicate piece for the first time as she appeared at the Prince of Wales’ 70th birthday garden party at Buckingham Palace, sparking suggestions it may have been a wedding gift from her new husband, Prince Harry.

With Meghan typically seen in more understated jewellery, the attention-grabbing style of the statement trinket suggests it’s new.

The delicate bracelet closely resembles a bracelet advertised on the Cartier website, which retails at an eye-watering £17,700.

MailOnline has contacted Kensington Palace for comment.

Named the ‘Essential Lines Bracelet’, the stunning designer piece is made of white gold and diamonds, and is only available to order by phone or in store.

Set with 61 brilliant-cut diamonds totaling 3.34 carats, the bracelet would indeed be an impressive gift from Harry.

Meghan wore a stunning pair of Cartier earrings on her big day, counting towards her ‘something old’ – and signalling that she is already a fan of the heritage brand.

If Prince Harry did indeed gave his new bride a gift on their wedding night, he would have been following in the footsteps of his father.

Prince Charles gifted Diana with a sizeable emerald-cut aquamarine ring on their wedding day, which Meghan was seen wearing to her own evening reception on Saturday.

The poignant tribute to Harry’s late mother, who also owned a similar-looking diamond tennis bracelet to the one spotted on Meghan’s arm on Tuesday, followed Diana’s wishes for her jewellery to be passed onto her sons’ wives.

It is unclear whether Prince Harry gave the ring to Ms Markle as a gift, or if it was both ‘something borrowed’ and ‘something blue’ for her wedding day.

According to the Sun, Diana wrote before her tragic death: ‘I would like you to allocate all my jewellery to the share to be held by my sons, so that their wives may, in due course, have it or use it.

‘I leave the exact division of the jewellery to your discretion.’

The Princess of Wales first wore the stunning ring in 1996 during a trip to Australia.

The ring is not the first time Ms Markle has wore something previously belonging to Diana – her engagement ring features two diamonds from her late mother-in-law’s private collection.

Ms Markle’s engagement ring includes one stone from Botswana, where the couple holidayed, and was personally designed by Prince Harry himself.
