Melania Trump makes an elegant arrival in Beijing

Most of use step off a flight looking a little bedraggled, but this morning Melania Trump wowed with her impeccably polished sense of style yet again as she arrived in Beijing, China.

The First Lady was the epitome of chic in a structured black midi coat paired with her trademark towering heels.

Melania, 47, chose a similar look as she departed from Pyeongtaek in South Korea yesterday with the president – the second stop on their 12-day Asia tour.

The mother-of-one was wearing a black belted number with wide leg trousers as she boarded Air Force One, a few hours ago.

But she appeared to make a quick change during the short flight, emerging in a similar coat worn over a dress.

Her hair was tossed around by the wind as she boarded the flight but was back to its impeccable best by the time she disembarked.

Melania and her husband President Trump were greeted in Beijing by a military honor guard and flag-waving schoolchildren.

The president and first lady Melania are headed for a tour of the Forbidden City, and a meeting with President Xi Jinping and first lady Madame Peng Liyuan.

Trump’s visit to the Forbidden City will include tea with his Chinese counterpart, whom he entertained at his Florida Mar-a-Lago club in April.

The two first couples then took in a performance of Peking opera, a distinctively Chinese art form that combines music, mime, dance and acrobatics.

The Forbidden City, now a major tourist attraction, has its roots in the 15th Century and was the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming dynasty through 1912.

On the agenda for Trump during his Beijing visit are requests for a hardline approach to economically paralyzing North Korea, and talks aimed at shrinking America’s massive trade deficit with China.

Last year the Chinese sold $347 billion more in goods to the U.S. than America sold into the world’s largest communist nation.

A quiet dinner with Xi and Madame Peng in the Forbidden City is due to follow the opera performance.
