Mika Brzezinski said Ivanka Trump was useless at her job and doing a disservice to this country by standing quietly by her father’s side in a blistering attack Wednesday on Morning Joe.
It was during a segment devoted to President Trump’s tweet about Senator Kirsten Gillibrand that the topic came up, with Brzezinsky criticizing the administration for not addressing the Commander-in-Chief’s offensive tweet.
‘That is the saddest thing I’ve ever seen in the White House ever in my life,’ said Brzezinski.
‘And his daughter, who came to Washington to work for the president and develop a platform for women, go home. Go home.’
She then added: ‘You are doing nothing if you stand by this president. And you should think of the country rather than your brand.’

Brzezinski also called out Ivanka one day prior, with the First Daughter posting no content other than party photos and images of her and her family in recent days.
‘Ivanka. Please step up. It is your chance to do the right thing. Pictures and parties and photos don’t amount to action. Keep your promise,’ tweeted Brzezinski.
She also tried to appeal to Melania, writing: ‘Melania, If cyber-bullying is your cause, today is the day u should tell your husband to stop-make him take that tweet down.’
President Trump took to Twitter to attack Senator Gillibrand on Wednesday, writing: ‘Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a total flunky for Chuck Schumer and someone who would come to my office “begging” for campaign contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them), is now in the ring fighting against Trump. Very disloyal to Bill & Crooked-USED!’

Brzezinski responded to this, and Press Secretary Sarah Sanders’ claim that President trump was not making a sexual innuendo, by saying: ‘I want to know how she does that and where the chief-of-staff is or where anybody else in the White House is this morning or where they were after that tweet went out yesterday.’
She went on to state: ‘The president should have taken it down. The president should have apologized if he didn’t take it down. He should have apologized for hurting senator Kirsten Gillibrand’s feelings at the very least.’
And she did not stop there either, going on to say this has been a trend with President Trump.
‘He should have apologized for being a sexist pig, for sexually harassing on Twitter, for using sex to denigrate women and again, I mentioned yesterday, the president is obsessed with women, especially some women, especially women who go on television and have a voice or especially women who serve in congress or in the senate who use their voices, any woman that stands up against him, he is obsessed with.
‘He has some special problem with women and the women around him, his wife, who has a platform against cyber bullying. That’s a joke.’
