This is the horrifying moment a beer keg flies through the air and smashes into a motorist’s windscreen as he drives down a busy highway. 

Footage captures the moment the keg slams into the car on Sydney’s M4. 

The motorist is seen driving down the right-hand lane before the keg comes towards the car hitting the vehicle and causing the video to cut out.

People took to the comments section to share their disbelief at what happened as the man drove past Eastern Creek.

Many wrote that the ordeal terrified them as the keg hitting the windshield was so sudden that it caught them off guard.

However one social media user explained a time she went through a similar situation. 

‘We had an axe fly off a ute and hit our windscreen…We ended up hitting another car.

‘Both were written off but lucky no one was injured.’
