A shocking video has surfaced of a baby crashing to the ground strapped to the back of a bike when the woman cycling appears to collide with a car.

The video, which was posted to the Youtube channel Idiot drivers UK Exposed, shows the woman and the baby, who are not wearing helmets, cross a road straight in front of a vehicle and crash to the ground.

The driver swears as the bike crashes to the ground, with the baby still strapped into the back seat.

She picks up the bike and the baby, who is crying and hitting dirt off his hands.

A heated discussion between mother and driver ensues but the audio is not picked up by the dash cam which recorded the encounter.

Cycle accidents are a major problem in Britain; 125 people were killed in cycle accidents in 2016 and 74 people have died on bicycles this year so far according to Beyond the Kerb.

Calls have been increasing to create safer cycling infrastructure, including more cycle lanes, to encourage more people to use bikes safely.

Although wearing a helmet on a bicycle is not required under UK law, it is advised by various authorities, including the British Medical Association.

The woman, presumably in shock, immediately faces the driver, as if blaming them for the crash while the child and the bike are still stuck on the ground

She then picks up the young child who was crying and she straightened up the bike

They appeared to discuss the incident for a few moments before leaving to discuss it elsewhere. Who do you think was at fault for this accident?
