Mums recreate racy Kim Kardashian photo after weight loss

In early January, Kim Kardashian embarked on a new weight loss shake program and debuted her toned physique with a racy Instagram snap just nine days later.

The 36-year-old mother-of-three donned a form-fitting crop top and white underwear for the candid snap where she was seen showing off her flat stomach while drinking a protein shake.

And now, a group of proud Australian mothers have recreated the playful photo to celebrate their own impressive weight loss achievements.

Each of the women took part in the Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge – some of them a number of times – and shed the weight through healthy shakes, a balanced yet nutritious diet and simple daily exercise regimes.

SASCHA FARLEY, NEW SOUTH WALES

After losing 34 kilograms, Ms Farley, 27, was more confident than ever jumping in front of the camera for her playful shoot.

‘It’s not just Kim Kardashian that looks and feels sexy, I do too! In fact, I feel my best EVER,’ she said.

‘The only difference between Kim and I (apart from the celebrity status and millions of dollars) is that I don’t take myself too seriously and I don’t feel like I’m missing out. I still eat everything I did before, just a healthier version!’

Before focusing on her health and fitness, Ms McKenna was 80 kilograms, always bloated and constantly unhappy with how she looked.

But after overhauling her diet and developing a newfound love for Tabata workouts, Ms McKenna lost 21 kilograms and is now fitter than ever.

‘I’ve lost 21 kilos. I feel comfortable in my own skin and that I just want to strut my stuff – a bit like Kimmy K. It made me giggle reenacting this photoshoot. I can’t wait to show my hubby my pic,’ Ms McKenna said.

RAE WILLINGHAM, VICTORIA

Ms Willingham, 30, suffered from post natal anxiety and struggled to lose the weight she’d gained while pregnant.

The Melbourne-based mother-of-three was drinking a litre of Coke Zero every day and would regularly eat an entire fruit cake in a day.

But instead of letting it get her down, the determined mother decided to focus on her health and has now lost an incredible 25 kilos and dropped from a size 16 to a comfortable size eight.

‘I felt like it was yet another day in the crazy things I do to uplift others and show how life is meant to be fun,’ Ms Willingham said of the photo.

‘It was a great opportunity to get out my good knickers and have a bit of a body love moment. I am a huge believer in celebrating the female body in all its equally beautiful forms and I will never be ashamed of what God gave me.’

'I felt like it was yet another day in the crazy things I do to uplift others and show how life is meant to be fun,' Rae Willingham said of her recreated photo

DINNER: My favourite dinner  is the prosciutto pizza with a pita base with tomato passata, oregano, prosciutto and bocconcini

STEPHANIE MARRIOTT, QUEENSLAND

In January 2016, shortly after the birth of her third child, mother-of-three Mrs Marriott had tipped the scales at 80 kilograms.

The doting mother had gained weight over her three pregnancies, lost track of her eating and would often eat an entire block of chocolate in one sitting.

So when a friend suggested she try out a 28 day challenge to get back on track, she decided she would give it a go… and never looked back.

Mrs Marriott continued to do the program over 10 months, shed 19 kilograms and dropped from a size 16 to a svelte size eight.

‘I’ve lost 19 kilos and I’ve been maintaining my weight for over a year now. I feel confident and amazing. When I look at this pic I feel strong and completely happy in my own skin,’ she said.

MELISSA TIMMER, NEW SOUTH WALES

Ms Timmer, a mother-of-two, started off at 107 kilograms and has now lost a staggering 33 kilograms – simply by taking an hour for herself each day.

‘I’ve lost 33 kilos in six months drinking and I do feel sexy. I’ve worked hard to get where I am and I do love my body now.’

Ms Bath has lost 12 kilograms in just five months and has saved herself $220 a week on groceries due to her new healthy diet and meal prepping.

‘I was just not happy with how I had let myself not care for me, I walked but I never had done a proper workout ever in my whole life,’ Ms Bath, who went from 64 kilograms to 52 kilograms, said.

‘I would either not eat enough or when I ate it would be something that was quick and not the best choice of nutrition.

‘I felt pretty happy and comfortable taking the photo despite the fact I don’t normally wear white underwear.’
