Murder investigation launched after body of man, 33, is found at a house in Brisbane

  • Police were called to a house in Kelvin Grove, Brisbane at 3pm on Friday
  • A crime scene was declared with forensic officers working at scene 
  • On Saturday, police announced that homicide detectives were investigating

A murder investigation has been launched after a man’s body was found in a house in Brisbane on Friday afternoon.

Police were called to a house in the northern suburb of Kelvin Grove at 3pm after the 33-year-old’s sister discovered his body.

A crime scene was declared with forensic officers working to determine the cause of death.

Queensland police said in a statement: ‘Investigators have interviewed a number of people and all efforts are being made to identify the exact events leading up to the death.

‘At this stage police are treating the death as suspicious. A postmortem examination will assist with this process.’
