Nick Nolte looks like a disheveled Santa Claus in Malibu

Nick Nolte showed off his extremely disheveled hair ‘do as he stepped out in Malibu on Saturday.

The actor rocked a head full of messy silver hair during an outing with his daughter Sophie. 

Nolte looked relaxed as he enjoyed a stroll with his ten-year-old daughter.

The legendary actor rocked a quirky outfit for the outing, pairing a thick blue plaid shirt with a baggy pair of bright pink trousers.

His little girl meanwhile dressed a little less outlandish, matching her purple sweater and black leggings with red Ugg boots.

The most eye-catching part of the picture however was Nolte’s wild bushy beard, which gave him a very Bad Santa look.

The Prince of Tides star shares the youngster with his long-time partner Clytie Lane.

He also has a 31-year-old son, Brawley, whom he shares with third wife Rebecca Linger.

Both his children joined the three-time Oscar nominee last month when he was finally awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

Fame came somewhat late in life for the Nebraska-born actor who was 35 when he was cast in thew 1976 ABC miniseries Rich Man, Poor Man which brought him an Emmy nomination for outstanding lead actor. 

He went on to star in the big screen comedies 48 Hours and Down and Out in Beverly Hills, the sexy thriller The Deep and the film adaptation of John Steinbeck’s classic cannery Row.

Nolte was first nominated for an Academy Award for his leading role in The Prince of Tides, opposite Barbra Streisand who also directed the 1991 feature. He starred as a troubled man who falls in love with his sister’s psychiatrist.

He received a second best actor Oscar nod for his portrayal of a small-town New Hampshire police officer in the 1997 film Affliction.

He was nominated again, this time in a supporting role, for the 2011 drama Warrior in which he played the father of battling brothers.

Nolte currently stars in the Epix comedy Graves.
