Nicki Minaj leads stars in Diesel’s anti-bullying campaign

Nicki Minaj was met with a divisive reaction when she was named the face of Diesel’s new collection which benefits cyber-bullying organisations.

Yet the rapper, who is known for her fiery rows with fellow stars, shirked the controversy as she gave her all to an accompanying video to go with the campaign, which also features Gucci Mane, Tommy Dorfman, Yoo Ah-in and Bella Thorne.

Putting on a playful display, she strutted down the street in a racy crop top with a zip-up front while sporting a fishnet body underneath as she led a bevy of fellow stars in her wake, including a pink-haired Bella.

Fans were left hitting out at the Italian label’s founder Renzo Rosso for the choice of the 35-year-old hip-hop star to represent his FW/18 ‘Hate Couture’ collection, which benefits cyber-bullying organisations – given her recent fracas with Cardi B.

The 10-time Grammy nominee has previously been locked in public feuds with chart rivals such as Cardi B, Miley Cyrus, Mariah Carey, Lil’ Kim, and Remy Ma – leading to the backlash from fans about the choice to feature her as an ambassador.

When a Twitter user blasted the idea of Nicki as an ‘anti-bullying beacon’ on Wednesday, bosses at Diesel replied: ‘We’re here to support anyone who’s getting hated on, and Nicki is one of them.’

The clothing company reportedly shut down an entire block near their San Babila flagship store in honor of the Trinidad-born, New York-raised star, who gushed: ‘Milan, I love you!’
