A horrific video released by police Wednesday shows a mentally-ill man beg an officer to ‘shoot’ him as he waves a knife around in hand.
Footage from the November 13 incident was captured on dash cam by the New York Police Department at Urban Pathways housing authority in the Bronx around 7:30 p.m.
Police responded to a call regarding two female security guards with knife wounds before arriving to the scene where suspect, Cornell Lockart, had attacked.

Lockart, who is wearing a red sweater and khakis in the video, can be seen standing near a worker inside the lobby while holding the weapon in hand.
The woman is heard seemingly tell the man: ‘Please, give it up!,’ while the officer begins his first of many orders for the man to ‘drop the knife.’
The worker continues to yell in panic as the cop points the gun at the man, who mostly stands still throughout the event.
As the officer continues to repeat the order, the suspect finally tells the cop to ‘shoot’ him
The female worker then backs away from the man and inches back closer to the officer
The officer begins to fire the rounds. Which totaled up to nine and startled residents inside
