Officer claims female captain yanked his genitals

A New York correction officer was treated at a hospital after a female captain allegedly yanked his genitals during a training session gone wrong.

Correction Officer Mike Lynch claims that captain Shaseannia Pittman grabbed his genitals during a training session at the department’s instruction center on Metropolitian Ave. in Middle Village, the New York Daily News reported.

At the time of the alleged incident, he said that he was demonstrating how to get out of a choke hold that she had him in when she just yanked his genitals, the Daily News reported.

Lynch went to the hospital for the painful injury, but was released a short time later.

He returned back to work on Wednesday where he was back to instructing his fellow officers.

The police union that represents correction captains said the incident would not have occurred had the department used same-sex instructors while teaching difficult moves.

‘The academy needs to get up with the times,’ Patrick Ferraiuolo, president of the Correction Captains Association, told the Daily News.

‘If they are going to do simulated self-defense moves and be physically touching one another, they need to do it by gender.

‘They should never have had a male staff member touching a female or vice versa because only bad things can come of it.’

The training session was administered as part of a settlement agreement in a class action lawsuit.

It was designed to decrease potential attacks by officers against inmates.

‘The training that they are giving is kind of ridiculous,’ Ferraiuolo argued.

‘You can’t teach somebody a martial arts move by going to the academy for three days and expect them to apply that. Martial arts is taught over years. It’s really a total waste of time.’

The Correction Department declined to comment on Lynch’s claims. DailyMail.com could not reach Pittman for comment.

In 2012, Pittman was under investigation for carrying on a lengthy relationship with a career criminal who listed her as his fiancee on his death certificate.
