Omarosa reveals video of Michael Cohen on ‘Trump Force One’ during the 2016 campaign

Omarosa Manigault-Newman has released a video of Michael Cohen boarding Donald Trump’s campaign plane in 2016, saying it shows the President’s former personal attorney ‘wasn’t a coffee boy’

Manigault-Newman, who was fired from the Trump White House in December, shared the video on MSNBC on Tuesday, hours after Cohen pleaded guilty to eight criminal charges and implicated Trump.

The video, which was teased as a major revelation but disappointed many viewers, depicts Cohen boarding ‘Trump Force One’ on September, 21 2016 in Cleveland, following a campaign rally there.

Manigault-Newman is heard badgering Cohen from behind the camera as he boards the plane, repeating his name to get his attention.

‘My number one photographer,’ Cohen tells her, smiling and giving her the thumbs-up.

‘You’re on my video now just so you know, now I’ve got to stalk you,’ Manigault-Newman says, before adding, ‘Michael, say bye!’

Manigault-Newman explained her rationale for sharing the brief video to Hardball’s Chris Matthews, saying: ‘The first thing that the President is going to say is that Michael Cohen had nothing to do with the campaign, he was just a coffee boy, he wasn’t involved.’

‘The reason I wanted to share this with you is to show that he was involved with the campaign, he spoke at this event,’ she added, referring to the event at a Cleveland church on the day of the video, at which boxing promoter Don King also spoke. ‘He sat and met with the President during that trip.’

Manigault-Newman confirmed that she had been cooperating with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe.

She said she believed that Cohen’s guilty plea on Tuesday would ultimately lead to Trump’s downfall.

‘Today changed everything. This is the beginning of the end for Donald Trump,’ Manigault-Newman said.

Cohen, 51, pleaded guilty to eight criminal charges in federal court in Manhattan, including tax evasion, bank fraud and campaign finance violations.

Cohen did not name Trump in court, but his lawyer, Lanny Davis, said afterward he was referring to the president when he said that a candidate directed him to commit a crime by arranging payments ahead of the 2016 presidential election to silence two women who claimed to have had affairs with Trump.

‘Today he (Cohen) stood up and testified under oath that Donald Trump directed him to commit a crime by making payments to two women for the principal purpose of influencing an election,’ Davis said in a statement after Cohen’s plea.

‘If those payments were a crime for Michael Cohen, then why wouldn’t they be a crime for Donald Trump?’ he said.

The two payments were intended to silence two women who claimed to have had affairs with Trump and were made prior to the 2016 presidential election. One was for $130,000 given to adult-film star Stormy Daniels. The other for $150,000 related to former Playboy model Karen McDougal.

Trump has denied having affairs with the women. His lawyer Rudy Giuliani has said the payments were made to spare Trump and his family embarrassment and were unrelated to the campaign.
