Oprah gives tour through her muddy Montecito neighborhood

Oprah gave a video tour Wednesday of her Montecito neighborhood to show aftermath of the mudslides

Oprah took her Instagram followers on a mini video tour through her Montecito neighborhood Wednesday.

The longtime media proprietor, 63, wanted to show aftermath of the mudslides that swept through Southern California last week.

‘This is my neighborhood today as cleanup continues,’ Oprah said in short clip as she drove slowly down the road Wednesday afternoon.

‘The mudslide experience has reminded me of an important lesson: That once a story is out of the headlines the devastation and rebuild continues,’ she said.

‘I thought I knew that. Now I know it for SURE! #805Strong’

Oprah also made headlines this month following her famed Golden Globes speech and for being one of thousands affected by the deadly deluge that killed 20 and left three missing.

Director of the Santa Barbara County Emergency Management Office, Rob Lewin, said in a statement that clearing the debris and blocked drainage channels are of main concern.

‘We have got to get those basins cleared as fast as we can,’ Lewin said in the statement.

‘If we don’t get those debris basins cleared out, then we’re not going to be prepared for the next storm, and we don’t know what that storm is going to look like.’
