He was sentenced by the Maroochydore Supreme Court and served 117 days in prison, but returned to his twisted ways when he regained his freedom.

This included four counts of ‘possessing child exploitation material’,He also pleaded guilty to single counts of ‘involving a child in producing child exploitation material and making available child exploitation material’ after pressuring a 15-year-old girl into sending him nude photos by telling her that he would self-harm if she didn’t acquiesce to his request.

When the teen refused to send Anning any more pictures, he uploaded them to Instagram under her real name and location, according to the Sunshine Coast Daily.

His criminal history also includes making threats towards another teenage girl who refused to be his girlfriend, the court heard, for which he was slapped with nine months probation but no recorded conviction.

But Manning’s defence barrister Simone Bain told the court that her client had a difficult childhood, attempted suicide at the tender age of seven after his parent’s ‘vicious break-up’ ended in his mother abandoning him.

Anning has been graded at a ‘moderate’ risk of reoffending by court practitioners.
