Paris Saint-Germain fans storm the streets of Madrid

Swathes of Paris Saint-Germain fans have hit the streets of Madrid ahead of their Champions League clash at the Bernabeu. 

The Parisian club’s official Twitter account posted videos of pumped fans chanting songs and lighting flares in the Spanish capital just hours before kick-off.

The streets were packed with travelling fans, who proceeded to bang steel drums and create quite the atmosphere for the eagerly-anticipated clash.

Supporters crammed into the streets and headed down to the stadium, where their beloved team would face the Champions League holders.

One fan carried the flair as he led the way to the iconic stadium, after which the club tweeted: ‘The stadium is close for our supporters.’ 

The Ligue 1 leaders, and their fans, bound into the round-of-16 tie full of confidence having won 14 of their last 15 matches in all competitions.
