The accident occurred at around 7:15pm yesterday in Jiulongpo District in Chongqing, according to a report by Chongqing Broadcasting Group.

The dog’s owner, Ms Chen, claimed the pet was walking behind her and her husband at the Yangjiaping Light Rail Station.

She said when she and her husband turned around, they saw the dog struggling to free itself from the escalator, but its back feet had been firmly jammed in a gap.
