A physiotherapist allegedly used a secret camera hidden in a clothes hook to film patients getting changed at his clinic.

Physio Andrew Weinzettel, 52, was charged and appeared at the Fairfield Local Court on Monday.

The camera was allegedly used to film patients naked at a clinic in western Sydney.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command were called to Greenfield Physiotherapy at Greenfield Park on November 12.

The camera was located concealed in the changing room in a clothes hook hung on the wall. 

Police immediately seized the device and commenced inquiries. 

Courts will allege the camera was used to capture patients getting changed. 

The following day, a 52-year-old man attended Cabramatta Police Station.

He was arrested on November 13 and taken to Fairfield Police Station.

A search warrant was executed at his private residence on Katherine Street in Cecil Hills where police seized a number of items

The man was charged with two counts of filming a person’s private parts without consent, among other charges.

He was granted conditional bail at the time of arrest and his bail was continued today.

The case will return to court on February 4 next year.
