Police find a sedated TIGER CUB in a plastic container

Mexican inspectors discovered a sedated tiger cub packed into a plastic container Wednesday.

Apparently someone attempted to express-mail the cub from the western state of Jalisco to an address in the central state of Queretaro.

A sniffer dog at the office for environmental protection who was looking for contraband detected it.

The cub was dehydrated but suffered no other injuries and was handed over to an animal management center.

The tiger’s papers seemed to be legitimate, however it was seized because the mailing constituted mistreatment.

The case is currently under investigation the agency revealed.

The Mexico Federal police posted a picture of the cub on their official Facebook page.

Alongside the photos they wrote ‘With the support of canine officers, members of the federal forces division detected a plastic box with ‘Atypical’ content in a parcel company of the truck station in Jalisco.’

‘During the inspection, we discovered that inside the box was a Bengal tiger approximately two months old who intended to be illegally transferred and under poor conditions for the animal.’

‘This is an endangered species, due to illegal hunting for the acquisition of its skin. We protect life in all its manifestations! Your report changes lives, don’t hesitate!’ they concluded.
