Pregnant woman buys 70 MEALS worth of meat for $160 to save her time when she’s on maternity leave

Australia’s most organised mum: Pregnant mother prepares 70 MEALS for $160 to enjoy during maternity leave – after spending a day buying cheap meat cuts at factory outlets

  • A Queensland woman has visited range of factory outlets in her area to buy meat
  • She visited a Hans factory in Brisbane and bought chicken, lamb and pork
  • The $160 she spent on the day will help her make 60-70 meals after giving birth

A pregnant mother has visited three separate factory outlets to buy 70 meals worth of meat to help to feed her family while she’s on maternity leave.

The woman, who is from Queensland, went to the Hans factory shop in Wacol, P&L Fresh Meats butcher in Oxley and to the Golden Circle factory outlet in Capalaba.

She also mentioned in an online Facebook group that the Ingham’s factory outlet was somewhere she would recommend others shop for bulk meats.

‘First time poster here and I want to thank you all for sharing about the factory outlets,’ she wrote online.

‘Spent the day going around Brisbane to a few different places to stock up on meat so I have one less thing to worry about while on maternity leave.’

The woman shared images of perfectly organised meats in zip lock bags, sectioned out into individual portions with the name of the produce and its use-by date on the front.

‘All this for around $160,’ she said.

‘Approximately 60-70 meals worth of meat! Can’t believe I didn’t know about this sooner.’

One woman commented on her post saying she had spotted her at the discount warehouses.

‘Oh I think I saw you today. I did the same thing. First time at Ingham’s then went to Golden Circle,’ she said.

‘Had to stock up before giving birth and now I’m in hospital getting ready. All the best!’.

Other members of the group encouraged her to follow the individual factory outlets on their separate Facebook accounts to see when they were doing major deals.

There are a number of outlets nationwide, including a Steggles in Melbourne and Perth and Ingham’s in Sydney.
