Princess Charlotte copied Queen’s wave at Trooping The Colour

Princess Charlotte seems to win new fans during every public appearance with her confident and cheery nature.

And now the young royal, three, has melted hearts again after eagle-eyed royal watchers spotted an adorable moment during Saturday’s Trooping The Colour celebrations.

Footage, which has been posted to Twitter by royal fans, shows the youngster clapping as the family stood on the balcony after the traditional fly past.

But then the youngster spotted her great-grandmother the Queen waving to the crowd and decided to follow suit.

Her mother Kate picked up on the adorable moment and looked over her shoulder to William to alert him to what their daughter was up to.

Despite her tender years, the youngster has had plenty of opportunity to practice her royal wave after taking part in overseas tours with the Duke and Duchess.

Princess Charlotte was happily clapping after the flypast, until she spotted her great-grandmother the Queen waving

She visited Canada with her parents when she was just 16 months old and charmed the watching world as she cheerfully waved to the crowds.

By the time she visited Poland and Germany last July, the youngster was already a pro at royal engagements as she greeted wellwishers, accepted bouquets and even performed her first curtsy.

In April, she charmed fans when she accompanied her father and brother to the Lindo Wing to meet Prince Louis for the first time and began waving as soon as she stepped out of the family car.

Eager to make the most of her moment in the spotlight, she even turned back on the hospital steps to offer a final greeting to the crowds.

It’s been an exciting time for Charlotte of late, who became a big sister to Prince Louise in April.

The young princess played an important role at Uncle Harry’s wedding at Windsor Castle just a few weeks later,  accompanying Meghan down the aisle as a bridesmaid.

Her next public appearance was her outing at Trooping The Colour on Saturday, where she joined the royal family on the balcony for the flypast.

A day later she enjoyed a fun day out with her mother and brother at the Maserati Royal Charity Polo Trophy at Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire where Prince William was playing.

At one point, mischievous Charlotte made Kate and Autumn Phillips collapse into fits of giggles as she performed an impressive headstand, while a shy George watched on.

The little Princess looked adorable in a pretty pink floral dress and matching sunglasses for the family outing.
