Disturbing footage shows the moment a bleeding prisoner desperately pushes a panic alarm button to alert guards as he is viciously beaten by a fellow inmate at a UK jail.
The helpless prisoner was repeatedly pummelled with a metal drinking flask by a masked rival as other inmates watched and filmed the shocking assault on a banned mobile phone.
Blood was seen dripping from the man’s head and mouth as the attacker stifled his cries for help with a gloved hand and warned him to get his story straight ‘or we’ll make your life a living hell’.

The call bell rang out for more than a minute as the inmate was held hostage in a toilet cubicle but the video ended before any guards could respond.
Leaked footage of the incident began circulating on WhatsApp on Monday.
It shows the victim shielding his face, grunting in pain as the masked inmate repeatedly strikes him in the head with the metal flask.
As the blows rain down he manages to press the alarm button to summon the guards.
A second inmate panics and shouts: ‘Hey, he’s pressed the button. He’s pressed the button.’
But the attacker refuses to stop, even as his pal cries: ‘Yo, stop. He’s pressed the button, bruv. Stop’.
The masked thug then pushes the victim back onto a nearby toilet seat, puts his hand over his mouth and says: ‘Shut up. Don’t say nothing.’
The bell continues to ring but there is still no sign of the guards as blood begins to run down the man’s face.

He tries to call out but is silenced and warned: ‘Sort out your s*** or we’ll make your life a living hell. You hear me?’
Gagged, he can only respond: ‘Mhm.’
The second inmate tells him he broke lag code by calling for help from the guards, saying: ‘You can’t be coming on ring like that, rudeboy. What you think this is?’
The victim’s face is then forced towards the toilet bowl and he is seen spitting out blood moments before the footage cuts out.
It is not currently known when the attack took place or at which prison.
The Ministry of Justice has been approached for comment.
