Mychael Knight died on Tuesday morning at the age of 39.
The TV star passed away after checking himself into an Atlanta, Georgia hospital where he had been treated for intestinal issues, according to TMZ.
The Georgia Southern University graduate is best known for being a finalist in 2006 on the third season of the reality TV show Project Runway with Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn.

The star died at 7:30 am after being in the hospital for a short period of time.
Knight had first tried out for Project Runway in 2005.
In 2006 he finally got on the competition series and did well. He had placed fourth on the long-running hit and even won the won Fan Favorite Award.

They got along well: Knight and Gunn saw eye to eye on fashion trends
After Project Runway he went on to to launch his own lines of clothing and lingerie. He also had his own fragrance brand, MajK.
In 2009, he appeared on the Project Runway: All Star Challenge.
Knight joined Daniel Vosovic and Santino Rice of season two, Jeffrey Sebelia and Uli Herzner of season three, Chris March and Sweet P of season four, and Korto Momolu of season five in a special, ‘one-shot’ competition where the winner, Daniel Vosovic, received $100,000.

Then in 2013, Knight became a contestant on Project Runway: All Stars, season three.
Project Runway is on Lifetime, but used to be on Bravo. The contestants compete with each other to create the best clothes and are restricted in time, materials and theme.
Their designs are judged and one or more designers are eliminated each week.
These finalists prepare a complete fashion collection for New York Fashion Week, from which a winner is determined.
