Rachael Finch says motherhood has made her body confident

Rachael Finch previously admitted that she’s happier five kilos heavier at 57KG.

And on Thursday, the 30-year-old told 9Honey that becoming a mother has made her body confident.

‘I love my body more than I used to, even with all the different lumps and bumps,’ the model told the publication.

‘I love my body, even with all the lumps and bumps’: Rachael Finch, 30, told 9Honey on Thursday that motherhood has made her confident in her own skin

‘Since having Violet [four] and Dominic [one], particularly Dom because my body changed a lot more after the second time round, I love my body more than I used to, even with all the different lumps and bumps,’ Rachael told 9Honey.

The Myer ambassador went on to say that women should not feel pressure in bouncing back to their pre-pregnancy frame so quickly.

‘Why do we have to put that pressure on ourselves to get ‘the body’ back?’ Rachael asked before adding: ‘I’m more focused on how I feel and how much energy I have so I can run around with my kids.’

The candid comments come after Rachael admitted that she now feels happier and healthier five kilograms heavier than she was 10 years ago.

Uploading a current snap of herself at 57kg to Instagram on Tuesday, the mother-of-two reflected on her struggles in the past.

‘With fashion week 2 days away [I’m walking in the @bodbyrachaelfinchshow, showcasing our latest collection woohoo!] I had to snap this pic this morning for you and post,’ she wrote in the caption alongside it.

‘Every meal felt like I was cheating and my periods were irregular’: Rachael previously revealed she’s happier five kilos heavier [R] than she was years ago [L] as a full-time model at just 52 KG

‘Over 10 years ago when I used to model full time and walk on runways regularly I was 5kgs lighter than this photo!! It may not sound like a lot but with my height and frame believe me it was a lot.’

Rachael went on to explain how she suffered from guilt and irregular periods at her lower weight.

‘I was 52/53kg and would aim to sit around that weight permanently… every meal felt like I was cheating and my periods were irregular. I was worried when clothes wouldn’t fit me in castings or job fittings,’ she wrote.

The fitness entrepreneur said she now feels happy and healthier five kilos heavier, telling her fans: ‘Fast forward to my 29yr old self now. I’m 58/59kg, strong, fit, happy and have 2 amazing children who are also health and happy.

‘It’s taken me years to learn to appreciate and understand how my body works and I’m thankful for everything it’s taken me through. This time 10 years ago I would of been smashing out 2-3hr cardio sessions & limiting what went in my body.

‘Bottom line, work on how you FEEL & not just on how you look. Find energy, balance, joy & peace in just the way things are. Life is so much better that way,’ she added.

Rachael began her career in modelling in 2004 when she won Queensland Model of the Year.

The brunette beauty was later placed third runner-up at Miss Universe 2009.

By 2011 Rachael had secured a role as a reporter for Channel Seven, and starred on the now-defunct reality series Dancing With the Stars.

It was on this program that she met her future husband Michael Miziner, with the couple now sharing two children, Violet, four, and Dominic, one.
