Richmond scandal: Woman dragged into topless row speaks

A glamour model wrongly dragged into the Richmond Tigers topless photo scandal insists it’s not her in the revenge porn photo – because her proportions are ‘better’.

Victoria Police are investigating Richmond’s flag-winning team after a photograph began circulating last week of a bare-chested woman with an AFL Grand Final medallion draped around her neck.

A second picture later emerged of a nearly-naked woman posing in front of the club logo with ‘Go Tiges’ printed on her bottom.

But the Melbourne beauty in that photo said she was shocked people thought she was in both pictures. ‘I think my boobs are a little bit better than that,’ she said.

Melbourne model Bella starred in a photograph which began circulating on social media recently – but NOT the medallion picture being investigated by police

Bella said she posed in the photo 'for the fans' and had nothing to do with the AFL club

The woman, who asked to be known only as Bella, has starred in calendars and featured in the pages of lads’ mag Zoo Weekly.

‘I can assure you I am obviously not the woman with the medallion around my neck,’ she said.

‘If anything, my breasts are better than that.

‘I’ve had so many people contact me asking if it is me.

‘I don’t have anything to do with it.

Police have reportedly compiled a 'hit list' of Richmond stars they want to question and whose phone records they wish to assess over the club's topless photo (picture) scandal

‘I don’t have anything to do with the Richmond Football Club.’

Bella, who describes herself as an Italian model, said she took the picture because her fans were excited for grand final week.

‘It was for my fans and followers.

‘It was a bit of hype for them’.

Police are reportedly targeting the social media accounts of Tigers players in a bid to get to the bottom of the topless photo scandal.

The young woman who posed for the picture is reportedly ‘distraught’ and told police she is a victim of revenge porn, alleging it was shared without her consent.

The player involved had reportedly told her he deleted the image from his phone.

Police confirmed on Tuesday that the first photo was being investigated, but refused to elaborate.

The Richmond Football Club said on Wednesday it will fully co-operate with the investigation.

‘We feel very strongly about the positive role of women at our club and in sport generally,’ a statement read.

‘[We] are committed to creating an environment where women can thrive.’

It is unclear when the two images were captured, but they both emerged in the days following the Tigers’ Grand Final victory over Adelaide on September 30.
