Rob Lowe forced to evacuate Santa Barbara home

The Southern California wildfires have forced Rob Lowe to evacuate his home.

The West Wing actor posted an Instagram story as he made preparations to leave his Santa Barbara estate on Sunday.

‘I want to tell everybody so far we’re ok,’ the 53-year-old said wearing a face mask to keep the smoke out as he surveyed the exterior of his home.

‘We’re evacuating my house in Santa Barbara. It’s really smokey,’ he continued.

As the Parks And Rec alum walked the perimeter of his homestead, he came across an assistant hosing down foliage with water. 

‘We have a water truck up here. And we’re praying for the people in my area hoping everyone gets out safe,’ he remarked.

As many followers posted positive messages to his live streaming, Rob thanked them for the support.

The wildfires, which have been dubbed the Thomas Fire, has already burned 173k acres and were reportedly 15 percent contained on Sunday morning.

Many other celebs’ homes are being threatened by the fire.

Oprah, Jeff Bridges, and Drew Barrymore all have property in the area. 

And Ellen DeGeneres explained her evacuation ordeal with a message that read: ‘Our house is under threat of being burned.’

Ellen continued: ‘We just had to evacuate our pets.’

She finished, sending her support to her neighbors and brave firefighters, writing: ‘I’m praying for everyone in our community and thankful to all the incredible firefighters.’

And the Thomas Fire isn’t the only blaze tearing up Southern California.

Stars Paris Hilton and Lea Michele were among the stars who were forced to evacuate when the flames overtook the hills around the 405 freeway near the west side of Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles County Creek Fire and Skirball Fire are beginning to get under control, reportedly 80 percent and 50 percent contained each.
