Roxy Jacenko debuts her hair as she enjoys a drink Oliver

She’s just dyed her hair pink for breast cancer awareness week, and has just chopped off her long locks and opted for a shorter style.

And on Thursday, PR maven Roxy Jacenko debuted her new locks in public for the first time, stepping out at the Sony Foundation’s Wharf 4 Ward event.

The 37-year-old enjoyed a drink with husband Oliver Curtis and their friends and family, with the couple putting on an affectionate display.

She dyed her hair for breast cancer awareness week, which no doubt has special significance to her, after her own battle with breast cancer in 2016.

She said she was glad because it didn’t give her time to ‘feel sorry’ for herself.

‘My life had become this whirlwind. I couldn’t walk down the street anymore – it was being chased, it was nasty things being left on my Instagram about myself and my children,’ she explained.

‘So when I got cancer it was like this is just another thing and I kind of felt like I was lucky I got it when I did get it.’

The Sweaty Betty founder added that the upheaval of her life made it easier to deal with her health woes.

‘There was so much turmoil, there was so much to adjust to, it was just like another thing. I didn’t have time to think and stew and feel sorry for myself, I didn’t have that opportunity.’

She added: ‘If I had more time on my hands to think about it, I think it would have been a lot worse.’
