She might be in line for the title of world’s most embarrassing mom, but it’s clear Sally Field wants only the best for her son Sam Eisman.
When Sam tweeted a screen-grab of a text conversation he had with her about his attraction to Olympian Adam Rippon, she took matters into her own hands.
On Friday, the 71-year-old actress quoted Sam’s tweet and tagged Adam – who was part of the bronze-winning United States figure skating team at the current Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang County, South Korea.

The screen grab in Sam’s initial tweet showed him joking with his mother over text about how he could possibly ask out Adam, who is himself also openly gay.
Sally replied in a text message: ‘Sam… he’s insanely pretty. Find a way..’
‘Just some really helpful advice from my mom on how to deal with my Olympic crush,’ Sam vamped in the text of tweet accompanying the screen grab.
A couple of hours later, Sally uploaded her tweet quoting Sam’s and tagging Adam.

‘Yikes,’ came a tweet reply from Sam, who at 30 is two years Adam’s senior.
At this year’s games in South Korea, Adam became the first open gay man to win a medal for the United States at any Winter Olympics.
Before he got bronze, Adam and freestyle skier Gus Kenworthy this year became the first open gay men to even compete at the Winter Olympics for the United States.
Adam finished in 10th place at the Men’s Single Free Program this Saturday.

Sally’s latest tweet at Adam, to which he has yet to publicly respond, is not the first time she has shouted him out on the social media platform.
This Wednesday, she tweeted her support for a thread Adam posted in January criticizing U.S. Vice President Mike Pence’s positions on gay rights issues.
Sam, a director who was sired by Sally’s second ex-husband Alan Greisman, is the youngest of the Norma Rae star’s three sons.
Sally and her first ex-husband Steven Craig share 48-year-old novelist Peter Craig and 45-year-old screenwriter Eli Craig.
