Santa is pulled through Welsh village on skis by a 4×4

A Youtube star has been spreading festive cheer in his home town in North Wales by donning a Santa suit and skiing around handing out chocolate.

Simon Wilson, 26, from Rhosllanerchrugog near Wrexham, took advantage of the icy weather and was towed round the village by his friends on  the back of a 4×4.

He bought a Father Christmas suit, borrowed some old skis and rallied round his friends when he woke up to a snowy scape on Saturday morning.

As if he were waterskiing, he tied a rope to the back of a 4×4 and spent hours being pulled through Rhosllanerchrugog, high-fiving baffled kids and even handing out chocolate.

In the video, the 26-year-old Youtuber is pulled up hill dressed as Santa and straddling a toy reindeer strapped to skis.

Holding a selfie stick in one hand and barely clinging onto a rope on another the skilled santa manoeuvres through the streets of the Welsh village while sliding from side to side.

‘I had about 24 hours to prepare which isn’t a lot of time because I had to get a Santa suit from Tesco, plumbing pipe and rope and had to borrow skis. But, I got there in the end’ he told the Daily Post.

‘I just thought it was spreading a bit of Christmas spirit. It basically started snowing on Friday and I wanted to do a crazy video in the snow.

‘There were loads of pictures flying around social media and one woman said I made her daughter’s day because she thought I was the real Santa.

‘It was worth making the video just for that’ he added.
