Seven people shot at an Indiana nightclub

  • Four males and three females were injured at the nightclub in Gary, Indiana
  • Two gunmen opened fire Dirtty’s Jazz and Blues Club on Sunday at about 2.30am
  • An eighth person hurt his leg while trying to get to safety 
  • Police said one of the gunmen is in custody but officers are still searching for another person involved

Seven people have been shot in an early morning shooting at an Indiana nightclub.

Four males and three females were injured when two gunmen opened fire at the Dirtty’s Jazz and Blues Club in Gary in northern Indiana on Sunday at about 2.30am.

An eighth person hurt his leg while trying to get to safety.

Gary Police Detective Sgt. William Fazekas said one of the gunmen is in custody but officers are still searching for the other person involved. 

Most of the victims are in a stable condition.

One victims was rushed to a Chicago hospital with more serious injuries. 

Police would not reveal any further details about the circumstances of the shooting or a possible motive for the gunmen.
